"Orphan Andy" was born unexpectedly and early in the pasture, and his dam rejected him. We luckily had 3 foals born in about 24 hours, so were able to milk colostrum from those mares to give him. We kept Andy for his first year before offering him for sale, as we wanted to make sure he had no lasting effects from his first few days of hardship. He seems to be a typical colt!
Andy moves beautifully, with correct-moving legs. If not for the fact that he is related to about 6 of our mares within 2 generations, we probably would keep him to show. He could be a show prospect or a working horse prospect...but with his sweet disposition, would make an excellent partner for just trail riding as well. He is a gem!
