Lady Crimson Hawk
2012 Red Roan + Dun Filly

Pedigree     Photos and Videos

  • May 9, 2012 red dun + roan filly

  • Sire: WYO Blue Chips.  Grullo roan, high percentage Blue Valentine. Grandson of Leo Hancock Hayes and Plenty Try. (pedigree)

  • Dam: How D Ladyhawk (web page   pedigree)

  • This filly appears to have both the dun factor gene and the roan gene (click her photos to see her web page, which shows her pictures before she roaned out). She is a "red dun and a roan," so will look like a red roan in the warm seasons and likely show her dun factor markings more in the winter.

  • Her sire has been shown in FQHR VERY successfully, earning points in and awards such as:
    Ranch Cutting,
    Handy Ranch (Trail),
    Ranch Pleasure,
    Team Sorting, and
    Working Ranch Horse
    2005 FQHR National Grand Champion,
2004 Nebraska Affiliate High Point Stallion,
2006 Nebraska Affiliate High Point Amateur Stallion,
    Producer of FQHR National Champions.

  • Both parents are dun factored, so she could be homozygous for dun factor.

  • Color genetics for this filly would be ee a? D? Rnrn

  • She can be weaned in September, and could leave 2 weeks or more after weaning.

  • This filly is located in Bedford, Iowa. She is owned by long-time customers of ours. We have known their horses for more than a decade, and these good people have been very fair and honest in every way we've worked with them. They do not have e-mail, and I have agreed to help them sell their filly because they can't send/receive e-mails, share photos, etc.
